Profs. Chen and Rokhinson elected APS Fellows
Professors Yong Chen and Leonid Rokhinson were elected by the APS Council of Representatives as Fellows of the American Physical Society. Fellowship in the APS is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the APS membership and is in recognition of outstanding contributions to physics.
Prof. Chen was recognized “for significant contributions to the material physics of chemical vapor deposition; and to the development of intrinsic 3-D topological insulators with transport dominated by Dirac surface states.”
Prof. Rokhinson was recognized "for contributions to the field of mesoscopic semiconductors.”
Together they join fellow Physics and Astronomy faculty members Erica Carlson, Daniel Elliott, Ephraim Fischbach, Laszlo Gutay, Yeong Kim, Sherwin Love, Michael Manfra, David Miller, David Nolte, and Fuqiang Wang as APS Fellows.
